The villa is located at the end of one of the village streets. A massive wooden front door opens into the entrance hall with a guest toilet. Especially for the villa designed staircases with wood and wrought iron lead to the ground floor and upstairs.
Kitchen, dining room, living room and balcony
From the entrance you enter either the kitchen or the living room. The rustic-looking kitchen is finished with light natural stone and solid wood cabinet doors. Particularly attractive is the stone chimney above the hob. A door opens onto a balcony with a view over the lower houses and characteristic stairs of the village.
The dining room connects the kitchen and living room. Also from the dining room you have access to the balcony through double glazed opening doors.
The living room has a beautiful natural stone fireplace. One wall is specially designed to present objects and books beatifully. Also here double glass doors offer a view over the rooftops of the traditional Portuguese houses.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with a beautiful custom made wooden wardrobe with frosted glass. In addition to floorheating, there is a pleasant air conditioning that cools in summer and warms the room quickly in the winter. Double glazed doors open onto a spacious outdoor terrace on the corner of the villa. From the terrace you look over the village and the river to Portimão. Through a portal, which can serve as a dressing room, you come into the beautifully finished bathroom with shower.
Possibility of roof terrace with plunge pool
Behind the portal of the master bedroom there is a fully finished attic area below the sloping roof, which can be used for different purposes. Instead of the sloping roof over the living room you can create a spacious roof terrace, accessible from the bedroom, and possibly also through a spiral staircase from the balcony of the dining room. This roof terrace can be completely private, where you (not overlooked from the environment) have wonderful views of the area. An opportunity could be to construct a plunge pool for cooling during hot days.
Ground floor with two bedrooms, bathroom and laundry room
On the ground floor there are now two bedrooms, one of which is used as a study with beautiful and functional stucco wall shelves. The other bedroom is equipped with custom-made wooden wardrobes with frosted glass. The bathroom has a bath. There is also a separate storage space. The laundry room is extremely spacious and has fitted wardrobes. This area also would allow the possibility to create a 2nd living room and kitchen or a 4th bedroom and bathroom.
The entire villa is finished in detail with quality materials. Solid wood is used throughout the house. The maintenance-free PVC windows have double glazing and on the inside they are all supported with inwardly folding wooden shutters which exude an authentic Portuguese atmosphere in addition to their functionality. The entire villa is equipped with underfloor heating, the temperature of the rooms is individually adjustable. The master bedroom also has an air conditioner that cools or heats.
A lovely authentic fishing village on the Atlantic coast and at the mouth of the Rio Arade. Faro airport is approximately 40 minutes. Here a total of just over two thousand Portuguese and "foreigners" from all over the world live in a cosy mix. In the village, which is built around the lovely central square with cafes and restaurants, you find (albeit in miniature) all amenities. In contrast to the big tourist places in winter it is cosy while it is not too crowded in the summer. There are several beautiful beaches. The "biggest" Praia Grande has a number of restaurants and a cosy beach club. All amenities are within walking distance. Close to Ferragudo you find the most beautiful golf courses, a huge tennis park and the marina of Portimão. Within 5 kilometers there is a large shopping center and there are several large supermarkets.
